Essential experience and knowledge
- Applicants must be Registered Mental Health Nurses with considerable skills and experience and thorough knowledge of Rehabilitation and Recovery Services.
- A thorough understanding of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and Human Rights Act is essential.
- The role requires practice as a non-medical prescriber or provision of governed therapy within the NMC framework and Trust protocol, according to qualification and competence.
Clinical and professional leadership
- Manage a caseload, undertake assessments, and provide nurse-led diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Lead professional development for nurses in the designated specialty and coordinate and deliver clinical supervision.
- Support high standards and continual improvement within the governance framework and contribute to sustainable clinical practice development.
- Plan and deliver specialty training and undertake ongoing audit of care and service delivery using evidence-based practice.
- Maintain nursing standards under the NMC Code of Conduct and promote relevant local and national policies.
