Role overview

Responsibilities

• Manage and support relationships with students, partners, and professional contacts; serve as a key point of contact.
• Respond to inquiries and provide information about chapter activities.
• Coordinate email and social media communications, track member engagement, and maintain basic records and reports.
• Schedule and support events or webinars.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to identify partnership, sponsorship, and outreach opportunities.
• Help improve processes for client and member support.

Qualifications

• Client service and relationship-management skills, including building trust and maintaining ongoing communication.
• Organizational and coordination skills to manage schedules, support events, maintain databases, and follow up on tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish or other languages are an advantage.
• Basic digital literacy with email platforms, office productivity tools, and social media for professional communication.
• Reliability, time management, and collaboration skills for work with a geographically dispersed team.
• Interest in geology, mining, or related fields and motivation to contribute to academic–industry collaboration; student organization or community project experience is a plus.
• University enrollment or completion is preferred, particularly in geosciences, engineering, business, or related disciplines.
