Candidate profile
- At least three years of hands-on experience managing relationships with lawyers and handling multiple deadlines is required.
- Familiarity with the full billing cycle is required.
- The ideal candidate has experience preparing invoices, monitoring WIP, collecting aged receivables, and developing weekly collection strategies.
Billing and e-billing
- Build relationships with lawyers, paralegals, legal assistants, and clients and respond to billing and collections questions.
- Monitor time entry, prepare and revise prebills, and prepare and distribute invoices and supporting documents.
- Create client-specific e-billing files, coordinate rejected submissions, and complete e-billing status reports and budgets.
Collections and reporting
- Monitor WIP and milestone billing matters and follow up to support timely billing.
- Collect aged receivables, develop collection plans, escalate accounts, and prepare documentation for credit-risk remedies.
- Monitor account credit performance, resolve payment discrepancies, and prepare WIP/AR exposure and related reports.
