Civil / Structural Design Engineer

REQUIREMENTS:

• Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• A minimum of 5 years of work experience, preferably in a field related to underground construction and/or mining.
• A licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) or able to register as a licensed P.E. within 6 months.
• Professional licensure in California is desirable.
• Experience in engineering of structural steel and reinforced concrete structures.
• Experience with and knowledge of IBC, ASCE, AISC, and ACI building and material codes.
• Knowledgeable of MSHA and OSHA regulations with a strong safety approach to engineering.
• Understanding of wood and masonry engineering is a plus.
• Proficient in preparation of structural calculations utilizing structural analysis software and hand calculations.
• Proficient with RISA or other Finite Element Analysis software.
• Experience in heavy civil construction and specifically tunneling is desirable.
• Geotechnical engineering and/or support of excavation (SOE) engineering experience is desirable.
• Surface grading, drainage, stormwater, and site layout engineering experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and/or Revit software is desired.
