Role Description
The Civil Engineering Manager role is a part-time, hybrid position based in Dubai, with a mix of on-site work and the option for some work from home.
The manager will oversee civil engineering projects from planning through execution, coordinating design, scheduling, budgeting, and quality standards.
Day-to-day responsibilities include directing project teams, reviewing engineering designs and reports, ensuring compliance with local regulations and codes, and liaising with clients, contractors, and authorities.
The role involves supervising site inspections, monitoring construction progress, addressing technical issues, and managing stormwater and infrastructure-related aspects of projects.
The manager will also support risk assessments, ensure adherence to health and safety standards, and provide regular project status updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Strong Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination.
- Experience in Stormwater Management and related civil infrastructure design or review.
- Proven Team Leadership abilities, with experience guiding multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Competence in Inspection and quality control for civil works, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
- Technical expertise in Infrastructure projects, such as roads, drainage, utilities, or site development.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Knowledge of local Dubai/UAE building codes, permitting processes, and industry regulations.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering and project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, civil design tools, MS Project or similar).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
- Professional engineering license or eligibility for registration in the UAE is an advantage.
