This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy teaching, mentoring students, and contributing to academic excellence in higher education.
Role Overview
The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lectures, supporting student development, and contributing to the continuous enhancement of the civil engineering curriculum.
Academic Delivery
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in core civil engineering subjects, including Structural, Geotechnical, Transportation, Environmental Engineering, and Construction Management.
- Prepare lesson plans, course materials, and assessment tools.
- Employ interactive and student-centered teaching approaches to maximize learning outcomes.
- Facilitate laboratory sessions and hands-on practical exercises as required.
Student Engagement & Evaluation
- Assess student progress through assignments, examinations, and project work.
- Provide constructive feedback, mentoring, and guidance to students.
- Advise students on internships, research projects, and final-year projects.
Curriculum & Academic Quality
- Support the continuous improvement of course content and teaching methods.
- Maintain accurate academic records, attendance, and course documentation.
- Assist in accreditation processes and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Research & Professional Development
- Participate in academic research and professional development activities.
- Attend workshops, training sessions, and academic forums to stay current in the field.
Institutional Contribution
- Actively participate in departmental meetings and academic committees.
- Contribute to audits, reviews, and other institutional initiatives.
- Candidate Profile
- Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 2–3 years of relevant teaching experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of core civil engineering concepts.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital teaching tools.
