Site Execution
- Supervise daily civil construction activities at the project site.
- Execute work according to approved architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Supervise RCC, reinforcement, shuttering, concreting, masonry, plastering, and finishing works.
- Check line, level, alignment, dimensions, verticality, construction sequence, and completion timelines.
- Identify site technical issues and coordinate timely resolution.
RCC and Structural Work
- Supervise reinforcement, shuttering, and concreting activities.
- Check reinforcement against structural drawings before concrete pouring.
- Monitor concrete quality, cube testing, curing, deshuttering, and required site checks.
- Coordinate with structural consultants on technical clarifications.
Finishing Works
- Supervise blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, tiling, flooring, painting, and other finishing activities.
- Ensure finishing work meets quality and workmanship standards.
- Prepare and monitor snag lists and ensure timely rectification.
- Coordinate with MEP teams to avoid clashes with civil and finishing activities.
Contractor and Labour Management
- Supervise contractors, subcontractors, supervisors, and labour teams.
- Monitor manpower deployment and productivity.
- Allocate daily work activities and monitor progress.
- Coordinate targets, quality, timelines, drawings, and project specifications with contractors.
Quality Control
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.
- Ensure work follows approved drawings and specifications and minimize rework.
- Maintain quality checklists and inspection records.
- Coordinate with QA/QC personnel and consultants during inspections.
Materials and Billing
- Prepare material requirements based on site progress and coordinate timely availability with stores and procurement.
- Monitor material consumption, storage, utilization, specifications, and wastage.
- Take and verify completed-work measurements and check contractor bills against actual measurements.
- Assist with BOQs, quantity estimates, material requirements, and records of executed and pending work.
Planning and Documentation
- Prepare daily and weekly work plans and monitor progress against scheduled targets.
- Maintain Daily Progress Reports and other project reports.
- Highlight delays, manpower shortages, material requirements, and technical issues to the Project Manager.
- Maintain drawings, revisions, site instructions, inspection reports, work records, and the latest approved drawings.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, and project meetings.
Safety and Compliance
- Ensure workers follow site safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
- Coordinate with the safety team to maintain a safe working environment.
- Report unsafe practices and site hazards immediately.
- Ensure construction activities comply with applicable standards and project requirements.
Required Qualification
- B.E., B.Tech, or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in residential construction.
- Experience with residential apartments, high-rise, or multi-storey projects is preferred.
Technical Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of RCC, shuttering, reinforcement, concreting, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing works.
- Ability to read architectural and structural drawings and knowledge of quantity estimation, measurements, and BOQs.
- Basic knowledge of construction quality standards and safety practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of DPR, WPR, and project documentation is an advantage.
- Strong site supervision, contractor and labour management, communication, coordination, problem-solving, decision-making, time management, and attention to detail.
