Civil Engineer – Marble & Stone Specialist

Role overview

Required qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in marble, natural stone, or interior fit-out projects.
• Practical knowledge of marble and stone installation methods and applications including flooring, cladding, stairs, countertops, vanity tops, skirting, and facades.
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and shop drawings; knowledge of site measurements, quantity take-offs, BOQs, material estimation, construction methods, levels, dimensions, and site coordination.
• Strong communication and coordination skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple project requirements.
• Valid UAE driving license is mandatory, with willingness to travel to project sites across the UAE.

Responsibilities

• Supervise stone works and review related drawings; measure sites and verify dimensions before fabrication and installation.
• Prepare and review material take-offs, BOQs, and requirements; coordinate with internal teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams.
• Monitor fabrication and installation against drawings and specifications; inspect materials for quality, dimensions, finish, color, and approved samples.
• Ensure proper installation, alignment, levels, joints, finishing, and quality across stone applications.
• Resolve site issues, coordinate with other trades, monitor schedule progress, and conduct inspections.
• Prepare progress and technical reports; check wastage and material use; assist with variations and project documentation.
• Ensure health, safety, and quality requirements are met.

Preferred skills

• Marble fabrication and installation experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of marble, granite, quartz, porcelain slabs, natural stone, cutting, polishing, edge profiles, fixing systems, adhesives, joints, and installation techniques is preferred.
• AutoCAD proficiency is an advantage; experience in UAE construction or interior fit-out projects is preferred.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality are preferred.

Pay

• The posting states pay of AED 5,000–7,000 per month.

Work location

• Work location is in person; travel between project sites is required as needed.
