The employer is hiring a Civil Engineer as an Estimation / Procurement Engineer, primarily overseeing procurement of civil fit-out materials.

Duties and responsibilities
- Manage procurement information, inventory, ordering, and material handling processes.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor transportation of materials.
- Negotiate pricing and favorable supply agreements.
- Source and obtain samples for finishes and materials.
- Request and collect quotations from suppliers and service providers.
- Prepare and process local purchase orders.
- Ensure timely delivery and follow procurement schedules for equipment and materials, including joinery and hardware.
- Maintain supplier databases and accurate records of purchases, pricing, and procurement data.
- Build and maintain vendor and supplier relationships.
- Evaluate suppliers, pricing, and supply options and prepare comparative quotation analyses.
Required skills and qualifications
- Diploma in a construction-related technical field, such as Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical, or equivalent.
- Proven knowledge of ordering and procurement of joinery, hardware, sanitary items, tiles, and MEP materials is required.
- Prior UAE construction industry experience is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, policies, and systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organization, documentation, prioritization, and time-management abilities.
- English is required.
- One year of fit-out experience is preferred.
