The Role
The Chief Technology Officer leads the organisation's entire technology vision, architecture, and execution.
This is a strategic leadership role as much as a technical one, requiring someone who can translate complex technology decisions into clear commercial outcomes for the board, drive digital transformation at pace, and build and retain a world-class engineering function in a highly competitive talent market.
Key Responsibilities
Define and own the technology strategy, roadmap, and architecture across the organisation.
Lead the engineering, product, data, and infrastructure teams, creating a culture of technical excellence, pace, and accountability.
Partner with the CEO and leadership team to ensure technology investment is aligned to commercial priorities and regulatory requirements.
Drive AI, machine learning, and data capability as a core competitive advantage.
Oversee cybersecurity posture, disaster recovery, and technology risk.
Build strategic vendor and partner relationships.
Represent the technology function at board level and with key external stakeholders.
The Person
15 plus years in technology leadership, with at least five years as CTO, VP Engineering, or equivalent.
Deep experience building and scaling engineering teams in complex organisations.
You will be equally comfortable in a boardroom and a technical architecture discussion.
Experience
in fintech, banking technology, or large-scale platform businesses is highly valued.
Familiarity with the GCC regulatory and data sovereignty landscape is advantageous.
