Position Overview
Milaha Ship Management is seeking a highly experienced
Chief Engineer
to join our
Platform Supply / Well Stimulation Vessel
operating within the offshore oil & gas sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient management of the vessel’s engineering department, ensuring operational reliability of propulsion, power generation, and stimulation support systems
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the safe operation, maintenance, and repair of all
- main engines, auxiliary machinery, and engine room systems
- Ensure reliable operation of systems supporting
- well stimulation and offshore operations
- Manage and supervise the
- engine department personnel
- onboard
- Maintain compliance with
- ISM Code, MARPOL, SOLAS, class, and flag state requirements
- Implement and monitor the vessel’s
- planned maintenance system (PMS)
- Monitor fuel consumption, machinery performance, and technical efficiency
- Coordinate troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance activities with onboard and shore-based teams
- Ensure all machinery and technical systems are maintained to the highest safety and operational standards
- Maintain accurate technical records, reports, and engine room documentation
- Promote a strong safety culture within the engineering department
Requirements
- Valid
- Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency – Unlimited (STCW Reg.
- III/2)
- Proven experience as
- Chief Engineer on PSV / Well Stimulation Vessels
- Experience with
- DP vessels and offshore support operations
- preferred
- Solid knowledge of
- marine engineering systems, PMS, and offshore compliance standards
- Proven ability to lead and manage a
- multinational engineering team
