Overview
We are looking for a **Chief Accountant / Senior Accountant** with strong experience in the **construction and joinery industry**, particularly in **job costing and project costing**.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring accurate cost tracking, and supporting project profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations
- Handle **job costing and project costing** for ongoing projects
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and profitability
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Ensure proper allocation of costs to respective projects
- Reconcile accounts, general ledger, and bank statements
- Coordinate with project managers for cost control and financial planning
- Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and company policies
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, and payroll processes
- Assist in audits and prepare required documentation
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven experience in **construction / joinery industry (mandatory)**
- Strong knowledge of **job costing and project costing**
- Driving license **(Mandatory)**
- Minimum experience:
- **Chief Accountant:** 7–10 years
- **Senior Accountant:** 4–6 years
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification such as **ACCA / CPA / CMA**
- Experience working in UAE-based companies
- Knowledge of ERP systems
