Chief Accountant
About This Role
We are a growing and dynamic organization seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Chief Accountant to lead our accounting department. This is a key leadership role that will ensure the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of all financial and accounting operations while supporting strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and reports in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, and other external stakeholders.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support management in decision-making.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/ACCA certification preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Excel.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
