Chief Accountant (Confidential Role)

About the Role:
A well-established organization is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Accountant to lead and oversee its financial operations. This is a confidential opportunity suited for a high-caliber professional with strong technical expertise and a proven leadership background in accounting and finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, reporting, and closing processes
- Prepare and present accurate financial statements in compliance with IFRS
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and tax requirements in Qatar
- Manage audits and liaise with external auditors
- Strengthen internal controls and financial procedures
- Provide strategic financial insights to senior management
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is highly preferred
- Minimum 8–12 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards
- Experience in the GCC region (preferably Qatar)
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
