Leads school finance and accounting and oversees related non-academic support operations.
Works in accordance with AMSI policies and applicable KHDA and other authority requirements.
Finance and accounting
- Supervises accounting staff and financial reporting; prepares budgets, statements, and management reports.
- Manages expenditure, costs, revenue targets, internal controls, purchases, invoices, approved payments, and petty cash.
- Oversees payroll, employee payments and settlements, school bank accounts, deposits, collections, and reconciliations.
- Ensures accurate General Ledger records and month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Ensures UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance and coordinates required external and regulatory reporting.
- Reviews payments and transfers for supporting documents, approvals, accuracy, and procedural compliance.
School support operations
- Oversees registration, procurement, catering, fixed assets, inventory, and related ICT operations.
- Manages contractual obligations and insurance for school services and establishes costing for trips and activities.
- Coordinates with IT or software teams on financial systems and digital solutions.
- Works with the Principal on administrative functions and streamlines student admission and registration processes.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting, or equivalent; a related degree combined with experience is accepted.
- At least three years of managerial accounting experience; school-setting experience is preferred.
- CA, CPA, or CMA certification is preferred.
- Requires advanced financial management and computer skills, accounting knowledge, communication, organization, integrity, and independent judgment.
