Chief Accountant
About This Role
Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), bank reconciliations, and fixed asset management.
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring proper documentation, authorization, and compliance with company policies.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning process in coordination with department heads.
Analyse project costs, profitability, and expenditure, particularly for real estate developments, leasing operations, and maintenance projects.
Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective measures to improve cost efficiency.
Ensure accurate and timely closing of monthly and year-end accounts.
Supervise and review journal entries, payment vouchers, and reconciliations.
Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure sufficient funds for operations and investments.
Major Goals:
Timeliness and accuracy of financial reports.
Percentage of reconciled accounts and variance reduction.
Budget vs. actual variance levels.
Compliance with internal audit and external audit findings.
Timeliness of month-end and year-end closing.
Effectiveness of cost monitoring and cash flow management.
