Kitchen duties
- Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold foods; cook to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
- Regulate ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters; thaw frozen food in the refrigerator.
- Ensure proper portions, arrangement, and garnishes; monitor food quality and quantity and maintain food logs.
- Communicate assistance needs during busy periods; notify the Chef about excess food for specials and service staff about specials or unavailable items.
Team, service, and safety duties
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model.
- Follow company, safety, and security procedures; complete safety training and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance; protect confidential information and company assets; anticipate and address guest service needs.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and adhere to quality expectations.
- Role involves extended standing, sitting, or walking; reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping; and handling objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.
Preferred qualifications
- At least 3 years of related work experience is listed as preferred.
- A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is listed as preferred.
- No supervisory experience is specified; no license or certification is specified.
