Commis 3 position at Sukhothai, Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts.

Food preparation and service

  • Prepare, portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure, mix, and store ingredients.
  • Cook food, including cold foods, according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and preparation checklists.
  • Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; test doneness and monitor food quality.
  • Set up and break down the work station and serve proper portions in appropriate receptacles.

Kitchen operations and conduct

  • Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment; check appliance and food temperatures.
  • Follow safety and security procedures, complete safety training, and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain professional appearance, protect company assets, and keep proprietary information confidential.
  • Communicate professionally, support team goals, maintain positive working relationships, and meet quality expectations.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; perform physical movements and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Preferred qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • At least one year of related work experience is preferred.
  • No supervisory experience is listed; no license or certification is specified.
