Kitchen preparation and service
- Prepare special meals, substitutions, and cold foods; cook according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
- Regulate oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperatures; thaw frozen food in the refrigerator.
- Ensure proper portions, arrangement, and garnishes; maintain food logs and monitor prepared food quality and quantity.
- Communicate busy-period assistance needs and excess food for daily specials; inform food and beverage service staff about menu specials and unavailable items.
Teamwork, safety, and guest service
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, and coaching; act as a role model.
- Follow safety and security policies, complete safety training, and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance; protect confidential information and company assets; anticipate and address guest needs.
- Communicate professionally, build positive working relationships, support team goals, respond to colleagues, and uphold quality standards.
- Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications and physical demands
- At least 3 years of related work experience is listed as preferred.
- A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is listed as preferred; no license or certification is specified.
- No supervisory experience is specified.
