Chartered Accountant - Contracting/Construction experienced CA

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounting and finance functions of the contracting business.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and profitability across ongoing projects.
• Review project-wise revenue recognition, work-in-progress (WIP), and cost allocations.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and other statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to management.
• Monitor budget performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Oversee payroll accounting and employee-related financial transactions.
• Ensure proper internal controls and financial governance are maintained.
• Support tendering and project teams with financial inputs and costing analysis.
• Reconcile bank accounts, supplier accounts, and project accounts.
• Prepare MIS reports and financial dashboards for senior management.
• Ensure timely closure of accounts and completion of audit requirements.

Requirements

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in a contracting/construction company.
• Strong knowledge of project accounting, construction finance, and cost control.
• Thorough understanding of UAE VAT regulations and financial reporting standards.
• Experience working with ERP/accounting software.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5 years of UAE contracting/construction industry experience.
• Available to join within a reasonable notice period.
• Strong commercial and financial management capabilities.
• Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada speakers are preferred.
