AUE's College of Engineering and Technology invites full-time faculty applications in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, with the position overview specifying Associate Professor or Full Professor rank.
The successful candidate will contribute to the Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science graduate program.
Teaching and research responsibilities
- Teach advanced graduate courses in AI and Data Science, emphasizing machine learning, deep learning, data analytics, and emerging AI technologies.
- Develop and deliver specialized courses aligned with academic objectives and evolving industry needs.
- Supervise graduate research and Master's theses, guide research methodology, and serve on thesis examination and defense committees.
- Maintain an active research agenda, publish in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences, pursue external funding, and contribute to emerging research initiatives.
Academic service
- Contribute to curriculum development, continuous improvement, academic advising, graduate thesis committees, accreditation activities, and other College and University responsibilities.
Required qualifications
- Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
- At least five years of post-Ph.D. graduate teaching experience and commitment to teaching excellence and student engagement.
- Strong peer-reviewed research and publication record and ability to supervise graduate research and Master's theses.
- Proficiency with modern AI and machine learning frameworks, tools, and technologies, plus practical AI solution development experience.
- Ability to contribute to accreditation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a multicultural academic environment.
- Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
- Applied AI, industry or government collaboration, or real-world AI deployment experience is preferred.
