Duties include monitoring CCTV, access control, and alarm systems, ensuring compliance with security procedures, identifying suspicious activities, and reporting risks or incidents.
The role assists with emergency response, maintains accurate records, and supports security operations under Security Management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluate all monitored activities to assess potential risks and security threats.
- Ensure compliance with company security standards and procedures at all times.
- Continuously monitor CCTV cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems.
- Identify suspicious behavior, safety hazards, or security breaches and report immediately.
- Record all incidents, observations, and actions taken in the occurrence log system.
- Review CCTV footage during investigations and provide accurate evidence when required.
- Communicate and coordinate with security teams, emergency services, management, and departments during emergency response situations.
- Assist during emergencies by providing real-time information from surveillance systems.
- Ensure all surveillance equipment is functioning properly and report faults or malfunctions.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of security systems, footage, and operational information.
- Provide solutions and recommendations to improve monitoring effectiveness.
- Follow up on incidents and ensure proper documentation is completed.
Standard Responsibilities
- Monitor daily security operations through CCTV systems to ensure safety of guests, employees, visitors, and property.
- Enforce security policies, procedures, and standards in line with company requirements.
- Monitor CCTV, fire alarm systems, access control systems, and other security technologies.
- Ensure all monitoring systems are operational and report faults immediately.
- Maintain effective communication with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Respond to incidents efficiently and professionally.
- Model the company's culture, vision, mission, and core values.
Confidentiality
The role has access to confidential information concerning the company, guests, and employees.
All such information must remain confidential and not be disclosed outside the organization unless authorized.
Health & Safety
Be aware of and comply with safe working practices under Health and Safety regulations.
Report any defects in systems, equipment, or facilities according to procedure.
Ensure incidents or accidents are reported immediately and correctly.
Attend required Fire, Health & Safety training and comply with all procedures.
Be fully conversant with emergency procedures including fire, evacuation, and security threats.
Maintain a safe working environment within the CCTV control room.
Working Conditions
- Flexibility in working hours, including shifts, weekends, and holidays, is required.
- Additional duties may be assigned as required.
