Category Brand Manager
About This Role
The Category Brand Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing marketing strategies to build and maintain the company’s brand identity. The position requires strong leadership, creativity, and a deep understanding of consumer trends and market dynamics within the beverage sector. This role focuses on driving brand awareness, loyalty, and growth while ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
Responsibilities and Duties :
Brand Strategy Development:
• Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies to increase market share, improve consumer loyalty, and enhance brand equity.
• Conduct market research and consumer insights analysis to inform product positioning, pricing, and promotional strategies
Marketing Campaigns:
• Plan, execute, and evaluate marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, print, retail, social media, etc.) to promote the brand.
• Collaborate with creative teams to produce marketing collateral, advertisements, and product packaging that aligns with brand guidelines.
Product Launches & Innovation:
• Collaborate with the planning and execution of new product launches, including market research, concept testing, and go-to-market strategies.
• Work closely with Portfolio Manager to ensure alignment of product innovation with consumer needs and brand objectives.
Brand Communication:
• Oversee and manage brand messaging and communication to ensure consistency across all touchpoints, including advertising, promotions, and public relations.
• Cultivate positive relationships with media, influencers, and other key stakeholders to enhance brand visibility.
Market Analysis & Reporting :
• Monitor competitive activity, market trends, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities and challenges.
• Analyze brand performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales data, consumer feedback, and market share reports, adjusting strategies as necessary.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership:
• Work closely with sales, product development, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment in brand strategy and execution.
• Collaborate with external agencies and partners to deliver impactful campaigns and ensure brand consistency.
Desirable Candidate Profile :
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, or a related field
- 5+ years of brand management or marketing experience within the beverage/FMCG industry
- Proven success in multi-channel campaigns and end‑to‑end product launches
- Strong understanding of brand positioning, consumer behavior, and market dynamics
- Proficient in data analytics tools (Google Analytics, Nielsen, or similar)
- Excellent storytelling, communication, and presentation skills
- Highly analytical, agile, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
