Overview

Job Objective

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• **Financial Transactions:**
• Process cash, credit/debit card, and digital wallet transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system; issue receipts, refunds, and correct change.
• **Customer Service:**
• Welcome customers warmly upon arrival at the checkout counter, answer basic inquiries, and ensure a friendly, polite interaction.
• **Cash Drawer Reconciliation:**
• Count and verify the cash float at the beginning of the shift; balance and reconcile the cash drawer against system reports at the end of the shift to ensure zero discrepancies.
• **Checkout Maintenance:**
• Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies such as receipt paper, shopping bags, and promotional materials.
• **Returns & Exchanges:**
• Handle product returns and exchanges efficiently in accordance with the company’s policies.
• **Promotional Awareness:**
• Inform customers about ongoing discounts, loyalty programs, or upcoming store promotions to drive engagement.

Qualifications & Experience

• **Education:**
• High school diploma or equivalent (a diploma or degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus).
• **Experience:**
• Proven experience as a Cashier, Retail Associate, or in a similar customer-facing role is preferred (entry-level candidates with strong skills may be considered).
• **Technical Skills:**
• Familiarity with electronic equipment, cash registers, barcode scanners, and modern POS software.
