Cashier/Receptionist

Role summary

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers and enter their orders into the POS system accurately.
• Process cash, card, online, and other approved payments; issue receipts and provide correct change.
• Verify bills, notes, and transactions; maintain an accurate cash balance and secure cash drawer.
• Reconcile shift cash and POS collections, verify closing reports, and report and document discrepancies promptly.
• Ensure discounts, cancellations, refunds, and complimentary items are authorized under company policy.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff; help customers with billing questions and minor payment issues.
• Keep the cashier counter and POS area clean and organized; follow restaurant hygiene, safety, attendance, and operating procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer information and perform other duties assigned by management.

Required skills and qualifications

• Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling; basic mathematics and accurate cash handling.
• Good communication and customer-service skills; ability to work under pressure in a busy restaurant.
• Honest, responsible, punctual, and attentive to detail.
• Able to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays when required.
• Basic English communication and Malayalam are required.
• Previous cashier or restaurant experience is preferred; additional languages are an advantage.

Pay

• Pay is AED 1,200–1,500 per month.

Performance and schedule

• Expected to maintain 100% accuracy in billing and cash handling, follow company procedures, provide courteous service, and maintain punctuality and professional conduct.
• Flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Workplace

• Work location is in person.
