Job Summary
The Store Cashier is responsible for handling customer payments, processing orders, and providing excellent customer service.
They ensure accurate billing, maintain cash handling procedures, and support smooth front-of-house operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take food and beverage orders when required
- Process cash, card, and digital payments accurately
- Issue receipts, refunds, and change correctly
- Handle POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of transactions
- Ensure the cash counter area is clean and organized
- Coordinate with kitchen and service staff for order accuracy
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints professionally
- Balance cash register at the beginning and end of shifts
- Follow company policies and hygiene standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in cashiering or customer service (restaurant experience preferred)
- Basic math and computer skills
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented
Working Conditions
- Shift-based work (including weekends and holidays)
Preferred Skills
- Multilingual ability (advantage in customer service)
- Knowledge of basic food safety standards
- Pay: From QAR2,500.00 per month
