Role Purpose

To generate sales and maintain strong relationships with traditional trade customers by ensuring product availability, executing sales plans, and delivering excellent customer service in assigned territories.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct daily sales visits to assigned customers, ensuring optimal product availability and merchandising.

Achieve individual sales targets for volume and value as set by the Sales Supervisor.

Maintain strong relationships with store owners, wholesalers, and distributors to maximize sales opportunities.

Execute trade promotions and pricing strategies accurately.

Collect timely payments and report any customer credit issues to the Sales Supervisor.

Capture accurate sales data and update CRM/sales systems promptly.

Provide market feedback and competitor intelligence to the supervisor.

Assist in resolving customer complaints and service issues quickly.

Adhere to company policies regarding product handling, delivery schedules, and sales protocols.

Actively manage and reduce stock returns from the market, keeping them within the company’s approved budget levels.

Achievement of individual sales targets

Number of sales calls/visits per day

Sales conversion rate productivity (strike rate)

Trade promotion compliance

Payment collection adherence

Customer satisfaction feedback

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong sales and negotiation skills

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to build and maintain customer relationships

Basic understanding of sales processes and merchandising

Self-motivated and results-driven

Ability to use mobile sales applications or CRM tools

Time management and organizational skills
