Role overview

Responsibilities

• Inspect wooden cable drums and identify damage or repair needs.
• Repair, maintain, and modify drums; carry out general carpentry work at the factory and company facilities.
• Use tools and machinery safely; maintain equipment and a clean, orderly work area.
• Meet quality and safety standards, report incidents and defects, and minimize material waste.
• Attend SQDCE meetings and contribute to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and engagement discussions.
• Follow safety rules and perform other related duties as assigned.

Candidate requirements

• Previous carpenter experience; manufacturing, industrial, construction, or maintenance experience is preferred.
• Practical experience repairing wooden cable drums is an advantage.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and carpentry machinery; basic workplace safety knowledge.
• Ability to understand work instructions, measurements, and basic technical drawings; attention to detail and quality.
• Physically capable of manual tasks; dependable and able to work independently or in a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts when needed.
• Relevant vocational training or carpentry certification and basic English communication skills are preferred.
