A **Carpenter** constructs, installs, repairs, and maintains structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and other materials.
They work on residential, commercial, and industrial projects, interpreting blueprints and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, drywall, and other construction materials.
- Install doors, windows, flooring, cabinets, framing, and other fixtures.
- Repair and renovate existing structures and woodwork.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely.
- Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and compliance with building codes.
- Collaborate with contractors, supervisors, and other construction professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a carpenter or completion of a carpentry apprenticeship.
- Knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and construction methods.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong mathematical and measuring skills.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Understanding of workplace safety regulations.
- Pay: From AED2,000.00 per month
