Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Support daily restaurant operations and supervise service colleagues in the assigned section.
• Prepare and maintain service stations, equipment, tables, and dining areas to hotel standards.
• Welcome and seat guests, provide personalized service, and recommend menu items and promotions.
• Coordinate orders, availability, special requests, and service needs with kitchen and bar teams.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, address concerns, and escalate issues appropriately.
• Ensure accurate orders, billing, room charges, payment handling, and end-of-shift cash reconciliation.
• Train and coach junior colleagues; coordinate teamwork and shift handovers.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and hotel procedures.
• Support service improvements, events, promotions, and operational reporting.

What we are looking for

• Previous experience as an F&B Captain, Head Waiter, or Senior Waiter; luxury hotel experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, restaurant operations, guest service, menus, service sequences, and upselling.
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills; good verbal English is required and additional languages are an advantage.
• Ability to supervise and motivate colleagues, anticipate guest needs, and resolve concerns.
• Knowledge of POS systems, billing, payment handling, food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures.
• Strong organization and time management; ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant.
• A relevant hospitality or food and beverage diploma or certification is an advantage.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
