Role Description
- We are seeking an experienced Camp Boss to oversee the day-to-day operations of a large employee accommodation facility.
- The ideal candidate must have extensive experience managing labor camps within the construction industry and be capable of handling a large workforce while ensuring compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and accommodation standards.
- Key Responsibilities.
- Manage and supervise the overall operations of employee accommodation camps.
- Ensure proper allocation of rooms and maintain accurate occupancy records.
- Coordinate accommodation for new arrivals, transfers, and demobilized employees.
- Monitor camp facilities, housekeeping, catering, laundry, transportation, and maintenance services.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are maintained.
- Handle employee grievances and welfare-related issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, municipality regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain inventory records of camp assets, furniture, and equipment.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on camp occupancy, maintenance requirements, and employee welfare.
- Coordinate emergency response procedures and ensure camp safety protocols are followed.
- Manage camp staff including cleaners, supervisors, security personnel, and maintenance teams.
Qualification
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience as a Camp Boss within the construction, infrastructure, or civil engineering sector.
- Proven experience managing labor camps with a large workforce (500+ employees; experience handling 1,000+ employees is highly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of labor accommodation standards, camp administration, and employee welfare practices.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills in English, Hindi, or Urdu is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and report preparation.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience managing accommodation for large-scale construction, infrastructure, road, landscaping, or industrial projects.
- Familiarity with municipality regulations, HSE requirements, and labor welfare standards.
