The role is responsible for camp discipline, cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and accommodation arrangements.
Camp operations
- Manage daily operations of company labour camps and accommodation facilities.
- Allocate rooms, beds, and accommodation for employees and labourers.
- Maintain records of residents, room occupancy, check-in, and check-out.
- Ensure camp facilities are maintained in good condition.
Hygiene, safety, and discipline
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in rooms, kitchens, toilets, bathrooms, and common areas.
- Arrange proper waste disposal and pest control.
- Enforce company rules and regulations within the labour camp.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and camp discipline.
- Prevent unauthorized activities and keep camp facilities safe, operational, and suitable for workers.
Qualifications and requirements
- Minimum 5–6 years of relevant experience as a Camp Boss or Labour Camp Supervisor in a construction, MEP, or contracting company.
- Previous experience managing labour camps.
- Good knowledge of labour camp management, hygiene, safety, and maintenance procedures.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle workers' complaints and maintain discipline professionally.
- Basic computer knowledge, including MS Word and Excel, is preferred.
- Knowledge of UAE labour accommodation requirements and relevant safety standards.
- Ability to work independently, conduct regular camp inspections, and report directly to management.
Performance expectations
- Resolve maintenance issues and workers' complaints promptly.
- Maintain accurate accommodation records and occupancy reports.
- Submit required reports on time and immediately escalate serious incidents to management.
