Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong vendor relationships.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels and anticipate material needs to prevent stockouts and support production schedules.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance departments to understand material requirements and specifications.
  • Resolve supplier issues, including quality discrepancies, late deliveries, and invoice discrepancies.
  • Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and generate reports as required.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant regulations and company ethical guidelines.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the aerospace, manufacturing, or industrial services sector.
  • Proven negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of purchasing best practices and supply chain management principles.
