Key responsibilities
- Manage daily purchasing to ensure timely availability of food, beverages, packaging, and operational supplies.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for competitive prices and favorable payment terms; prepare and process purchase orders.
- Coordinate supplier deliveries and maintain product quality.
- Monitor stock levels with warehouse, operations, and café teams to prevent shortages and overstocking.
- Maintain purchasing records, supplier information, quotations, and purchase orders.
- Compare quotations for cost savings, follow up on orders and discrepancies, and ensure products meet specifications.
- Support procurement reports, supplier performance reviews, and purchasing plans; maintain supplier and internal relationships.
Candidate requirements
- 3–4 years of relevant purchasing or procurement experience; F&B, café, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Knowledge of food and beverage purchasing, ingredients, packaging, and operational supplies.
- Strong supplier negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
- Understanding of inventory management, stock control, and purchase order processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and purchasing or ERP systems.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced café environment.
- Valid UAE driving licence is required.
- Abu Dhabi residence or willingness to work in Abu Dhabi is preferred.
Compensation and benefits
- Salary is up to AED 6,500 per month, depending on experience; stated pay range is AED 5,000–6,500 per month.
