The Business Insight Manager will help the housing provider deliver services to tenants through business intelligence, analytics, and performance insight.
Responsibilities
- Lead business intelligence, analytics, and performance reporting services.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Produce insight for operational and strategic decisions; manage corporate reporting and KPI frameworks.
- Improve data quality, governance, reporting standards, and processes through automation and innovation.
- Provide analysis, forecasts, and performance trends for business planning.
- Build stakeholder relationships and lead, coach, and develop the Business Insight team.
- Work with IT and vendor technical teams to agree data extracts for reporting and analysis.
Experience and capabilities
- Proven leadership in a business intelligence, analytics, or performance reporting function, with significant relevant experience.
- Advanced Power BI and data-visualization skills, or experience with similar tools and ability to build expertise quickly.
- Experience developing and monitoring KPIs, performance frameworks, and corporate reporting.
- Experience with large datasets and databases; SQL is beneficial, or the ability to build SQL skills quickly.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to translate complex information into actionable insight and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Experience leading and developing teams; good IT systems and Microsoft 365 skills.
- Ability to plan and prioritize work independently, collaboratively, or as a project lead.
Desirable qualifications and experience
- Housing-sector, repairs-contractor, or housing-management-system experience is desirable; MIS Active-H is specifically mentioned.
- Business or data analysis certification or qualification is desirable.
- Microsoft Power BI certification is desirable; willingness to work toward a certification such as Microsoft Power BI Analyst Associate is stated if not already held.
- SQL certification is desirable.
