The Business Analyst supports Two Rivers Housing in providing warm, safe, affordable homes for tenants.
The role works with operational colleagues, technical specialists, suppliers, project managers, and subject matter experts.
Responsibilities
- Identify and define business needs, challenges, and opportunities for improvement with stakeholders.
- Plan and undertake requirements gathering through workshops, interviews, observations, surveys, document reviews, and data analysis.
- Gather, analyse, document, prioritise, and validate business, user, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Translate needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business rules.
- Maintain traceability from business needs to requirements, delivered solutions, and expected benefits.
- Manage requirement changes and communicate impacts on scope, cost, timescale, risk, and benefits.
- Support project work through testing and implementation.
Experience and capabilities
- Experience working in a project or change environment and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Confident gathering and translating requirements, mapping processes, analysing information, and facilitating stakeholder discussions.
- Able to challenge assumptions constructively and turn complex information into clear recommendations.
- Organised, collaborative, comfortable managing competing priorities, and equipped with good digital skills.
Tools and qualifications
- Demonstrable competence in Microsoft 365 and digital tools for analysis, project delivery, collaboration, and reporting.
- Experience with process-mapping and visualisation tools such as Microsoft Visio or equivalent.
- Experience with project and portfolio management tools such as Microsoft Project, Project Web App, or equivalent.
- A recognised Business Analysis, Project Management, or Change Management qualification, or equivalent experience, is desirable.
- Social housing or similar customer-focused or regulated-environment experience is desirable but not essential.
