About This Role
Overview
On behalf of one of our clients, we are seeking to appoint a highly capable Business Development Manager to lead and expand the firm’s business development function within the consulting sector.
This role is intended for a senior professional with a clear understanding of how advisory opportunities are originated, qualified, and converted into credible consulting engagements.
The ideal candidate brings strong commercial judgment, a mature understanding of the consulting business model, and the ability to engage confidently with business owners, CEOs, and key decision-makers.
This position is suited for individuals who can build trusted relationships, understand real client needs, and work closely with consulting teams to translate market opportunities into well-structured advisory mandates.
It is a strategic leadership role in business development within a professional consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the business development function and drive the firm’s growth agenda across target markets and sectors.
- Originate, qualify, and develop high-value advisory opportunities with private sector clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, CEOs, and senior executives.
- Position the firm’s consulting services in a credible, value-driven, and commercially effective manner.
- Oversee the development of strategic opportunities from early-stage engagement through to proposal and closure.
- Work closely with consulting teams to align client needs with relevant advisory solutions and engagement structures.
- Contribute to the development of proposals, scopes of work, and commercial approaches for priority opportunities.
- Maintain active awareness of market dynamics, client priorities, and competitive activity within the consulting sector.
- Represent the firm professionally in meetings, strategic discussions, and business development forums.
- Support the development of internal business development practices, pipeline discipline, and commercial reporting.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development, advisory sales, consulting, or professional services.
- Proven track record in originating and closing consulting or professional services engagements.
- Strong understanding of how advisory mandates are positioned, structured, and pursued.
- Demonstrated experience engaging directly with senior decision-makers in the private sector.
- Strong relationship-building skills supported by commercial maturity and professional credibility.
- Clear understanding of consultative selling, with the ability to create demand without overselling.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in both Arabic and English.
- Experience in the Saudi market is a strong advantage.
