Job Title: Head of Business Development – Marine Sector
📍 Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
We are looking for a commercially driven leader to head our Business Development function within the marine sector.
This role will take ownership of driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and building strategic partnerships across key markets.
You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping business strategy, leading a high-performing Sales & Marketing team, and strengthening client relationships while ensuring operational and commercial alignment across the organization.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Define and execute business growth strategies aligned with company objectives
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Sales & Marketing team to achieve revenue targets
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across local and international markets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners
- Drive contract negotiations and close high-value deals
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to refine strategy
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, and other internal teams for seamless project execution
- Oversee performance tracking, reporting, and forecasting for leadership review
- Support payment collection cycles in coordination with Finance
- Ensure all commercial activities align with safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Manage overseas agents and partnerships as part of market expansion initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- 7–10 years of experience in Business Development, preferably within the marine, shipping, or offshore industry
- Proven track record of leading teams and delivering consistent business growth
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in negotiations and deal closures
- Ability to think strategically while staying hands-on with execution
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Understanding of industry regulations and operational frameworks
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA is a plus)
