About The Role
The Business Development Manager — Middle East is Milestone’s primary commercial lead for the UAE and GCC market.
You are responsible for building, converting and growing a high-quality pipeline of regional clients — from ambitious local brands and government entities to established corporate marketing teams — who require premium exhibition stand design and build services across the regional calendar.
This role is for a well-networked, culturally fluent commercial professional who understands how business is done across the GCC, who the key players are, and how to build the long-term trust that drives repeat business in this market.
You will be Milestone’s face in the region.
Key Responsibilities
■ Identify and approach UAE and GCC-based companies, government entities, brand agencies and event organisers participating in regional exhibitions and brand events.
■ Build and maintain a strong, well-qualified regional pipeline through networking, industry engagement, targeted outreach and referral relationships.
■ Develop and sustain senior-level relationships with marketing directors, procurement leads, agency heads and government communications teams.
■ Lead the full sales cycle — from qualification and brief through to proposal, negotiation and signed contract.
■ Secure comprehensive client briefs and ensure all requirements are accurately translated for the Design and Production teams.
■ Grow existing regional client portfolio by driving repeat business, cross-event participation and long-term account partnerships.
■ Maintain accurate pipeline and activity records in the CRM; deliver regular forecast reports to the Managing Director.
■ Stay current on the regional exhibitions calendar, competitor activity and emerging market sectors.
■ Support international business development as part of a balanced commercial contribution to the team.
& Qualifications
■ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or a related discipline.
■ 4–6 years of B2B sales or business development experience with a demonstrable track record in the UAE or GCC market.
■ Prior experience in exhibitions, experiential marketing, events or project-based services is strongly preferred.
■ A well-established professional network within the UAE and GCC business community is a significant advantage.
■ Deep understanding of GCC business culture, procurement practices and relationship-driven sales dynamics.
■ Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills; disciplined CRM and pipeline management capability.
■ Outstanding communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage for this role.
■ Willingness to travel within the UAE and GCC as required.
■ A well-presented, culturally aware and commercially driven professional who takes full ownership of the regional market.
