It provides industry-relevant training programs that bridge academic knowledge with practical skills.
JU Connect is the Specialized training and development wing of Jumeira University, established to support business organizations, students, professionals, schools and education providers across the UAE with internationally benchmarked, practice-driven industry recognized and UAE Local Authorities.
Role Description
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and establishing strategic partnerships for Jumeira University Training Institute (JUConnect).
The role focuses on promoting training programs, securing corporate clients, and identifying new business opportunities aligned with the institute’s mission of delivering industry-relevant, practice-driven learning solutions.
Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across corporate, government, and individual training segments
- Achieve revenue targets through program sales, corporate training contracts, and partnerships
- Promote key training areas such as AI, Business, Digital Skills, and Language Programs
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase enrollments and institutional collaborations
Corporate & Institutional Partnerships
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, schools, and government entities
- Design customized training solutions for organizations (L&D, leadership, digital transformation)
- Collaborate with internal teams to tailor programs based on client requirements
Market Expansion & Strategy
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor offerings, and emerging training demands
- Explore new segments such as international students, lifelong learners, and career switchers
- Develop go-to-market strategies for new programs, bootcamps, and certifications
Marketing & Lead Generation
- Work closely with marketing team to plan campaigns, events, and promotions
- Generate leads through networking, exhibitions, digital platforms, and partnerships
- Represent the institute at industry events, education fairs, and corporate meetings
Client Relationship Management
- Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, proposal development, negotiation, and closure
- Ensure high client satisfaction and repeat business
- Maintain CRM records and prepare regular reports on pipeline and performance
Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with academic and training teams to align offerings with market needs
- Support program development based on industry demand
- Ensure compliance with KHDA and institutional requirements where applicable
Qualifications and Skills required
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (
- Master’s preferred
- ).
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in business development, preferably in Training institutes, Education sector / EdTech or Corporate L&D solutions.
- Strong network within UAE corporate, education, or government sectors is highly preferred.
- Proven track record in sales, business development, and revenue generation.
- Strong negotiation and deal-closing skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and proposal development abilities.
- Strategic thinking with strong market analysis and opportunity identification skills.
- Ability to design and sell customized training / learning solutions.
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Good understanding of UAE training and education landscape (KHDA exposure is a plus).
