acquiring and scaling merchants.
The Role
We’re hiring our
first Business Development Manager
to lead merchant acquisition from zero.
This is not a “strategy” role — this is a
hands-on, execution-heavy position
focused on sourcing, pitching, and closing merchants.
You will be directly responsible for bringing revenue into the company.
What You’ll Do
- Identify and acquire new merchants across key verticals (F&B, services, e-commerce, freelancers, SMEs)
- Own the full sales cycle: prospecting → outreach → demo → close → onboarding
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified leads
- Pitch Simplebit’s value proposition clearly and convincingly
- Work closely with founders to refine pricing, positioning, and sales strategy
- Drive partnerships and referral channels
- Continuously gather market feedback to improve the product
What We’re Looking For
- 2–5+ years in
- sales / business development
- , preferably in fintech, SaaS, or payments
- Strong ability to
- close deals
- — not just generate leads
- Experience selling to SMEs or merchants in the UAE
- Comfortable with cold outreach, field sales, and high-volume execution
- Clear communicator with strong commercial instincts
- Highly self-driven — able to operate in a zero-structure startup
What Success Looks Like
- You bring in the
- first 50–100 active merchants
- **You establish repeatable acquisition channels**
- **You help define how Simplebit sells and grows**
