Business Development Manager – General Insurance
📍 Dubai, UAE
We are hiring a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) with experience in the insurance brokerage industry, specifically in general insurance.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in insurance sales, client acquisition, portfolio development, and revenue generation.
• Client Acquisition & Portfolio Development
- Identify and acquire new clients to expand the company’s general insurance portfolio.
- Generate business opportunities through networking and market outreach.
- Develop and manage client portfolios to ensure long-term business growth.
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets through effective promotion of general insurance products.
- Drive revenue through cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
- Understand client requirements and provide suitable insurance solutions.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
Market Research & Strategy
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands.
- Support business development strategies and market expansion plans.
- Coordinate with internal teams to improve sales effectiveness.
Coordination & Compliance
- Coordinate with internal departments for smooth onboarding, policy issuance, and servicing.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and insurance industry regulations.
Reporting
- Prepare regular sales and revenue reports.
- Track pipeline progress and client engagement activities.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the insurance industry.
- Strong experience in General Insurance is mandatory.
- Experience working in the insurance broker industry is preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and customer-focused professional.
