Business Development - Equity Capital Markets
Role Overview
We are building a suite of tokenized equity capital markets products from the ground up, and are looking for a Business Development professional to originate, structure, and drive deals across the product line. You will join a small, high-impact team and take ownership of the external relationships and deal pipeline end to end. This is a 0-to-1 opportunity for a self-starter with an established capital markets network who wants to contribute to building a product from inception. The successful candidate will own the origination and negotiation of deals — reaching out to issuers, partners, and financial institutions, growing the pipeline, and driving opportunities through to close. Responsibilities
Originate and source deals — proactively identify and engage issuers, companies, partners, investment banks, exchanges, and distribution platforms to develop new opportunities.
Own external relationships — act as the primary point of contact and trusted counterpart, building and maintaining relationships across issuers, financial institutions, and strategic partners.
Negotiate deals — lead commercial negotiations and structure terms.
Grow and manage the deal pipeline — build a robust origination pipeline, track opportunities from lead through execution, and report on progress and conversion.
Support origination materials — prepare pitches, proposals, and partner-facing materials to win mandates and advance live opportunities.
Monitor the market — track pipeline, market conditions, comparable transactions, and competitor activity to identify and prioritize opportunities.
Coordinate execution — work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to move deals through diligence, documentation, and closing.

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in business development, equity capital markets (ECM) origination, coverage/relationship management, investment banking, or capital raising.

- A demonstrable track record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing deals or mandates.
- Strong understanding of the equity capital markets and the mechanics of capital raising (IPOs, follow-on offerings, and related transactions).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to represent the firm to senior external counterparts.
