Role Overview

Business Consultant – Engineering

Xpedeon Erp System

1. Process Consulting & Agreement

• Conduct meetings to explain Xpedeon Engineering module processes to clients.
• Map existing client processes to Xpedeon standard processes and configurations.
• Define and agree on “To-Be” processes within project scope covering engineering workflows.
• Align client reporting requirements with system capabilities across modules such as:

• Engineering & Document Management

• Procurement Management

• Inventory & Materials Management

• Subcontracting Management
• Contract Management

• Budget & Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR)

• Document discussions, clarifications, and responses; ensure formal sign-off.

2. Data Management & Migration

• Explain required master data for system configuration across engineering modules.
• Review client data and guide conversion into standard templates.
• Define and advise on opening data migration strategy for project and contract data.
• Identify risks related to data quality, ownership, and availability.
• Ensure timely collection and validation of required data, including:
• BOQs
• Budgets
• Contract values
• Inventory masters

3. User Enablement & Change Management

• Lead, mentor, and motivate core and end users across engineering and project teams.
• Drive adoption by demonstrating system benefits and efficiencies.
• Assess user readiness, including skills, accountability, and availability across site and office staff.

4. Testing & Go-Live Readiness

• Ensure process sign-off prior to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) execution for all engineering modules.
• Coordinate and supervise UAT activities.
• Ensure availability of test scenarios and sample project/contract data.
• Guide issue resolution during UAT and secure formal sign-off.

5. Go-Live & Hypercare

• Ensure readiness of master and opening data before Go-Live, including:
• Budgets
• Contracts
• Inventory balances
• Validate system configuration and deployment readiness for all engineering modules.
• Supervise Hypercare phase and resolve post-Go-Live issues.
• Ensure successful transition with formal sign-off.

6. Project Governance & Team Leadership

• Supervise and guide consultants to meet project timelines and quality standards.
• Participate in review meetings and provide progress updates.
• Document key decisions, action items, and resolutions.
• Communicate updates to stakeholders directly or through the Project Manager.
• Coordinate cross-functional dependencies between engineering, finance, and procurement streams.

7. Post-Implementation Support

• Ensure ongoing quality support and handholding post Go-Live.
• Ensure smooth and continuous engineering project operations within the system.
• Provide guidance on best use of Xpedeon engineering modules for ongoing project delivery.

Experience

• 8–10+ years of experience in construction project management or engineering operations, preferably in the Middle East.
• Prior involvement in ERP implementation projects within the construction or engineering sector preferred.

Erp Expertise

• Hands-on experience with integrated ERP systems covering:
• Engineering
• Procurement
• Inventory
• Finance modules

Functional Knowledge

• End-to-end engineering module operations
• Procurement processes and purchase order management
• Inventory and materials management on construction sites
• Subcontracting setup, measurement, and payment workflows
• Contract management including variations, claims, and milestones
• Budget setup, cost control, and Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR)

Industry Knowledge

• Strong understanding of construction project delivery and EPC/general contracting operations across:
• UAE
• KSA
• Oman
• Wider GCC region

Consulting Skills

• Ability to engage, influence, and align client stakeholders at project and site management levels.

Communication

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Arabic language skills are an advantage.

Leadership

• Ability to work independently and lead project implementation teams.

Documentation

• Strong ability to document processes, decisions, and action items clearly.
