Key responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements and processes and facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Define scope, objectives, and deliverables with stakeholders; analyse workflows and recommend improvements.
• Create use cases, As-Is and To-Be diagrams, and other documentation; perform gap analysis.
• Work with project and technical teams to deliver understood and managed requirements.
• Analyse root causes, recommend solutions, and build relationships with management, SMEs, sponsors, and third parties.
• Support functional and user acceptance testing, governance, and sign-off.
• Link customers, solution teams, and third parties on software functionality through the development lifecycle.
• Manage change requests, maintain RAID logs, and track escalation of risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
• Maintain understanding of business data models, workflows, and application architecture.
• Assist with business cases, solution designs, system acceptance tests, and support handover documentation.

Experience and domain expertise

• At least 5–7 years of Business Analyst experience, with a track record delivering medium-to-large Finance Transformation projects.
• In-depth requirements documentation, process flow modelling, and business use-case development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methods and ability to adapt the BA approach to the delivery model.
• Working knowledge of Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, financial planning, and month-end close.
• Experience with Finance Directors, Controllers, Accountants, and Finance Operations teams.

Technical skills

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel with Power Query development, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Expert process documentation using Microsoft Visio or equivalent process-modelling tools such as BPMN.
• Experience building reports and dashboards from multiple data sources and analysing complex datasets.
• Experience with NetSuite, Oracle EPM, Great Plains, or similar enterprise finance systems is desirable.

Certification

• A relevant professional Business Analysis certification is required; the visible source text specifies CBAP and then cuts off.
