Overview

We have an urgent requirement for Business Analyst – Banking Domain (Core Banking & Digital Banking Platform) one of our banking client in Dubai or Fujirah, UAE

Expertise in at least one major banking domain (Retail, Corporate, Treasury, Digital Banking, Cards and Payments)-

-Must

UAE regulatory frameworks including Central Bank guidelines, AML/CFT standards, KYC requirements, credit and risk policies, and regulatory reporting frameworks.---

Must

Experience with Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.--

Must

Exposure to large-scale transformation or core banking implementation programs is highly preferred.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Business Analyst to support strategic transformation initiatives across multiple banking domains.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, deep banking domain expertise, and proven experience managing end-to-end business analysis activities within complex financial environments.

This role is critical in bridging business objectives with technology solutions, ensuring regulatory alignment, operational efficiency, and successful delivery of digital and system modernization programs.

• Business Analysis & Requirements Management

+ Lead end-to-end requirements gathering through stakeholder workshops, interviews, and process walkthroughs.

+ Elicit, document, and validate Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Requirements Documents (FRD), user stories, and non-functional requirements.

+ Develop process models, use cases, workflow diagrams, and data mappings.

+ Ensure requirement traceability across the full project lifecycle.

+ Align requirements with business strategy, regulatory obligations, and system constraints.

• Banking Domain Expertise

+ Demonstrate strong working knowledge across Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Treasury & Trade Finance, Payments & Digital Banking Channels.

+ Lending, Cards, and Islamic Banking knowledge is advantageous.

+ Interpret operational workflows, business rules, and compliance mandates.

+ Ensure alignment with UAE regulatory frameworks including Central Bank guidelines, AML/CFT standards, KYC requirements, credit and risk policies, and regulatory reporting frameworks.

• Project Delivery & Solution Support

+ Collaborate with Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and external vendors.

+ Participate in solution design reviews and validate functional fitment.

+ Support system integration discussions and API-based implementations.

+ Contribute to SIT/UAT planning, test case preparation, defect management, and reconciliation.

+ Ensure smooth production deployment and post-implementation review.

• Process Optimization & Transformation

+ Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities.

+ Recommend improvements aligned with industry best practices.

+ Support digital transformation initiatives including workflow automation, system upgrades, and platform integration.

• Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement

+ Engage business owners, SMEs, IT teams, and vendors to ensure clarity of scope and requirements.

+ Contribute to RFP/RFI documentation and vendor evaluation processes.

+ Provide structured communication of project risks, dependencies, and impacts.

+ Facilitate effective decision-making across cross-functional teams.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Competencies:
  • + Strong understanding of Core Banking Systems and Digital Banking platforms.
  • + Working knowledge of SQL and enterprise RDBMS concepts.
  • + Experience with Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
  • + Understanding of APIs, system integrations, workflow engines, and middleware.
  • + Ability to perform data analysis, reconciliation, and system log interpretation.
  • + Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Behavioral Competencies:
  • + Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • + Strong analytical and structured problem-solving approach.
  • + High attention to detail and quality.
  • + Ability to influence stakeholders and manage competing priorities.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst. Banking or Financial Services Domain is preferred.
  • Proven expertise in at least one major banking domain (Retail, Corporate, Treasury, Digital Banking, Cards and Payments).
  • Demonstrated experience leading requirement workshops and managing end-to-end BA lifecycle activities.
  • Experience working in multi-stakeholder, cross-functional environments.
  • Exposure to large-scale transformation or core banking implementation programs is highly preferred.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) – preferred but not mandatory.
  • Agile (Scrum), PMP, or Business Process Management certifications are advantageous.
