Business Analyst – Banking

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from banking stakeholders.
• Prepare detailed **BRD, FRD, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications**.
• Work closely with IT teams to translate business needs into system requirements.
• Analyze existing banking processes and recommend improvements.
• Support projects related to **core banking, digital banking, payments, cards, lending, compliance, or customer onboarding**.
• Coordinate with business users, vendors, developers, QA teams, and project managers.
• Support UAT planning, test case review, defect tracking, and user sign-off.
• Conduct gap analysis and impact assessment for new system changes.
• Ensure project deliverables meet business requirements and regulatory expectations.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on requirement status and project progress.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a **Business Analyst in the banking industry**.
• Strong understanding of banking products, processes, and operations.
• Experience in requirement gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Good knowledge of **Agile and/or Waterfall project delivery methodologies**.
• Experience preparing BRD, FRD, process maps, user stories, and UAT documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Prior experience working with banks in the UAE or GCC region will be an advantage.

Preferred Banking Domain Experience

• Experience in one or more of the following areas will be preferred:
• Core Banking
• Digital Banking
• Payments
• Cards

• Compliance And AML

• Trade Finance
• Treasury or Operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile, or Scrum certification will be an added advantage.
