Business Analyst - AI Projects

About This Role

We are seeking a Business Analyst experienced in IT and AI projects to act as the key link between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams. The role focuses on business understanding, analytics translation, data readiness, business validation of AI models, and deployment alignment , ensuring that AI and digital solutions deliver measurable business value.

The Business Analyst will work closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, Data Scientists, AI Engineers, and Stakeholders , following an iterative, analytics-driven delivery approach aligned with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Understanding
• Engage stakeholders to identify business objectives, scope, success criteria, KPIs, and use-case goals.
• Document business requirements and expected outcomes in structured BRDs.
• Identify stakeholders, decision owners, and approval authorities.
• Support scope definition, change management, and business risk identification.
• Analytics & AI Approach
• Translate business needs into clear analytical and AI requirements.
• Collaborate with technical teams to define the appropriate analytics or AI approach (e.g., predictive analytics, NLP, computer vision, automation).
• Define assumptions, constraints, dependencies, and success metrics.
• Ensure alignment between business expectations and technical feasibility.
• Data Understanding
• Identify required data sources (internal, external, structured, unstructured).
• Validate data relevance, availability, quality, and ownership.
• Highlight data gaps, risks, governance, privacy, and compliance concerns.
• Support early data feasibility and readiness assessments.
• Data Preparation (Business Rules)
• Define business rules for data cleansing, transformation, labeling, and aggregation.
• Validate data readiness for analytics and AI modeling.
• Review data samples and annotated datasets from a business perspective.
• Coordinate with data teams to ensure alignment with use-case objectives.
• Modeling (Business Validation)
• Review AI and analytics outputs from a business and KPI perspective.
• Validate that model results meet business success criteria, not only technical accuracy.
• Support UAT activities, scenario validation, and exception handling.
• Provide structured feedback for model refinement and optimization.
• Deployment & Adoption
• Support deployment readiness by validating business workflows and operational impact.
• Ensure AI outputs are usable, interpretable, and aligned with end-user needs.
• Assist in defining acceptance criteria, user guidelines, and handover documentation.
• Support post-deployment monitoring and business value realization.

Requirements Experience

• Minimum 3+ years as a Business Analyst in IT, AI, or data-driven projects.
• Hands-on experience working with technical and analytics teams.
• Strong understanding of AI / analytics project lifecycles.

Language Requirements

• Strong Arabic language skills (spoken and written) - mandatory.
• Strong English language skills (spoken and written) - mandatory.
• Ability to prepare bilingual documentation and lead discussions in both languages.

Technical & Business Skills

• Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into structured analytical requirements.
• Experience with KPIs, dashboards, and data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and facilitation skills.

Professional Certifications Required / Highly Preferred

• CBAP - Certified Business Analysis Professional (IIBA)
• CCBA - Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (IIBA)
• PMI-PBA - Professional in Business Analysis (PMI)
