Brokerage Platform Lead (Trading Systems)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Manage the platform lifecycle covering onboarding, order capture, execution, clearing, and settlement.
• Integrate brokerage systems with trading, risk, and compliance systems alongside cross-functional teams.
• Improve market connectivity to regional exchanges, with a focus on low latency and reliability.
• Lead platform upgrades, coordinate vendors, and ensure regulatory alignment.
• Support Agile delivery through backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release management.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot production issues, and maintain availability and resilience.

Required qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience working on trading or brokerage platforms.
• Proven exposure to Tradenet or a comparable brokerage platform.
• Strong knowledge of front-to-back brokerage architecture, OMS, FIX, and market connectivity with DFM, ADX, and Tadawul.
• Understand institutional equities workflows, including algorithmic trading and high-touch and low-touch order flows.
• Proficiency in Oracle and PostgreSQL; experience building and integrating RESTful services.
• Agile delivery experience using JIRA, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

Advantageous experience

• Familiarity with Kafka for real-time streaming and event-driven architecture is an advantage.
• Hands-on Java and/or C++ development, with exposure to Node.js and React, is an advantage.
