BMS DESIGN & ESTIMATION ENGINEER

(SCHNEIDER IS PREFERRED)

LOCATION: UMM AL QUWAIN

SALARY: TBD

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Review and analyze technical drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.

-Develop detailed control system designs, including data point list, controller selection, cost estimate, and BOQ preparations.

-Produce comprehensive cost estimates and prepare the techno-commercial proposal in adherence to specification requirements.

-Collaborate with the sales team and projects to ensure designs meet customer expectations.

-Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.

-Evaluate the project progress and make necessary adjustments to designs and estimates as part of re-value engineering in coordination with customer/sales.

-Prepare technical submittal, including BMS control schematics in Microsoft Visio and sequence of operation.

-Meet end-to-end coordination like revision of submittals until consultant/client approval and contract is awarded.

-Responsible for material request submission and collaborating with the sales coordinator for material ordering.

-Submit, hand over to projects, and engage in discussion to explain the detailing of the design.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-A bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Degree in Electronics/ Electrical/ Mechanical) is a must.

-Proven experience in design and estimation within building technologies like BMS or PLC is a must.

-Knowledge of Other systems like Lighting controls, GRMS, Home Automation, and Energy metering systems is an advantage.

-Should be hardworking, maintain consistency in work, and be able to work under pressure with little supervision.

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

-Strong

 understanding of HVAC controls is necessary, or the ability to 

quickly learn it.

-Proficiency in design and estimation software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) is an advantage.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

-AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word
